Transfer paper can be used to transfer a drawing from one surface to another. Once I have made a rough sketch or drawing I want to burn, I transfer it to wood or watercolor paper using home-made transfer paper.
Some transfer paper is made with carbon and it can be nearly impossible to erase. If you have transferred to wood then you may be able to lightly sand it off the wood. I have also found that Minwax wipe-on poly removes left over carbon marks. So if you plan on adding a clear coat to your art, the carbon lines will wipe away when it is applied. Be sure to check on a practice board before you risk ruining your work.
If you follow the steps in this video, there is no need to stress over left over carbon marks. You will be able to erase any excess transfer lines when your art is complete. Happy Burning
